Right everyone

We have successfully moved over the new host and the website has been set-up, ready to go

the log in form on the pages has been turned off as it prevented the forum bridge from allowing people to log in and then post on the forum. It shouldnt effect the authors as once logged in on the forum, you are logged in on the website itself.

I have also set-up the business paypal for Advance Gamers which allows us to place the donation button, which has replaced the log in form on the website, none of the panels down the right hand side display on the forum as they messed up the template.

We have started designing the tshirt for this season which will be used at all lans this year unless we have get some new sponsors and have to redesign the tshirt to account for it.

Anyway, we still have to write the about us section of the website and add the new servers to the server page on the website. I'm going to open a Promod Custom Skins server on the dedicated server in the next few days, once the CSS servers have calmed down and stopped crashing, and the forum boards need finalising. I have put up a request board in the private section on the forum and as people begin to use the website I'll will begin to sort out the user groups so people can see the private boards.

As I feared, the real reason the spambot attack stopped completely was due to the fact that during the process of installing the new login module, the registration module had been changed, meaning key changes to the module which enables the captcha system to work had been deleted. I have I turned off the captcha system for now, which gives me chance to see if the authentication module I installed is up to the job.

myself and rmx have been working on developing the next version of our template, somewhat darker but the same layout as the current one, it also includes the forum integration for phpbb3, which I have been delaying while I figure out how to hack the template for it.

So folks, current template or new version with the phpbb3 integration?

Ok guys, Im gunna be taking the website offline for a couple of hours to integrate phpbb3 into the website and remove that horrible joobb we are using atm

It should take longer than 20 minutes but if I do something wrong it could mean the site being down for longer, and bearing in mind I have only done this once, it should be interesting

but once thats done, we should be fine on the forum side, just need to create a nice template from the source images of the website template... the joy :)

anyway, just giving you all a heads up so you dont whine.

Ok folks, since we went live we have had 3 failed spambot attacks and one successful

cleaning up after these attacks is quick and easy but I want to minimize the number of attacks we experience. Which is why I have installed a new captcha on the site aswell as a validator. I dont know how effective these will be but we will find out tonight when the spambot returns for another dig.

Broke out my trusty notepad++ and coreftp again today

Started off by turning on the login module which you can see on the right, this replaces the buggy login button and makes it easier for new members to register without hunting for the link on the forum itself

I then got to work and fixed both the avatar system and the create new post so they dont break the template

still much to do though, i'll keep you all updated on it though
